For a 600 x 600 x 600, I think 60 watts might even be OK, unless you've got a desert species. I've got a 900 x 300 x 450 with a 100w and only half the top covered, and that keeps temps under the ceramic at about 30 degrees.

If your gonna use ceramics, make sure the holder is not plastic as the ceramics - especially the 150 and 250Watt ones - will quickly melt the fitting.
