It is actually a while since I have seen these and it was not from the DVD's but on television. Both these DVD's were shown... I think on Channel 7 a year or so back. I was particularly impressed with the Taipan one where they sought to explain the reasons for differences between the two species particularly in relation to their venom toxicity.

I think Rob Bredl's (Barefoot Bushman) style of presentation is so far in front of the in your face, American style, wildlife documentary presenters it is not funny. At the end of Bredl's presentation I always feel as if I have learned something even if I have seen the show a number of times before. You are left with sense that you have been presented with a balanced representation of the animal. You are not left wondering how much of the information has been hyped up for effect (and to assist the marketing to a mostly US audience).

Rob Bredl is also an excellent Aussie herp!

If you want another opinion give Brian at the Herp Shop a call. He has watched both video's a number of times recently and can provide a fresher perspective.
