They are the ultimate snake, at least in this country and worth a premium BUT in my opinion they are worth a maximum of $5000. They are not hard to keep, not particularly hard to breed and the hatchlings are only a little harder to rear than say Womas. Having said that if Roy or anyone else can sell them for $10,000 then good luck to them.
I would find it hard to part with 10 big ones for a hatchling/juvenile snake but what makes it harder for me is the memory of seeing them at UK reptile shows for around $750 and they don't fly out the door for that price.
I can only assume things will become a little more sensible in a couple of years especially after this years bumper crop.
