Hi JM. I gotta say, I think they were giving you good advice. I keep two snakes in the one enclosure too, but ALWAYS remove them and seperate then for feeding, and give them time to calm down before putting them back in the cage.

Ok, maybe they could have put it in a more polite fashion, but I think you are asking for trouble. I did the same as you when I first started.... until one of them finished before the other and he went for the mouse that the other one was eating! If I hadn't been there, and if the aggressive one had got a better grip it would have been all over red rover.

Also, feeding OUT of the enclosure means they don't [always] associate movement in their enclosure with food.

I've also read a story [don't know how true it was] that two snakes started eating a mouse from each end and one of them ate 50% if the other one. They both died.

But hey, that's just from my limited experience. I PERSONALLY don't think it's a good idea, that's all. If you want to do it, then by all means go for it. ........but my advice to newbies is .... don't! ;-)
