Glossary of Terms and Abbreviations

I had a PM recently from a new member asking me what some terms were. I guess they were to embarassed to ask publically. Now, I know what you are thinking. Why me? Yes, I thought the same. BUt anyway, how about we make up a glossary of terms & abbreviations that people can read so that they understand all of our jibberings.

Even a very simple example was Moreliaman. He obviously has a great knowledge of pythons but still needed prompting on what a GTP was. I know that to me it is a $70,000 falcon!!!

The post could end up as one of those "Sticky" ones that is always easily accessible.

Some examples to start us off:

BHP - Black Headed Python
GTP - Green Tree Python
Accies - Varanus Acantherus (sp), Ridge Tailed Monitor (is this right?)
Vitticeps - Central Bearded Dragons (we can't expect people to know scientific names)
Barbata - Eastern Bearded Dragon
Mac - Anterisia Macolusa (sp) Spotted Python formerley Liasis Childreni

If there are any people who would like to see this post please let us know here.

If there is anything you would like added please PM me.

If you would like to contribute then merely add to this post.

Cheers

confused.
