I would say that you should definitely get a ceramic ES fitting. I just got an "Oz Black" heat emitter and even though the neck of the bulb is insulated you will still need a ceramic fitting. You will find that most Herp globes are ES. The other thing that you will need is cages over your lights to stop your snakes burning themselves on the bulbs.

As far as an estapol goes, as MrBredli said once the fumes have dissipated it would be fine. Just don't do what I did and use a resin, I've been waiting two weeks for the fumes to go and they are still there, I've been trying heaters, fans, bi-carb and anything I can think of without success to get rid of the fumes. My poor babies are in tubs in my room and it's killing me that they can't go in their enclosure.

Another thought that I have been told to use as a sealer is watered down Bond-Crete. It dries fast, no fumes and it's clear. Wish I would have done this myself.
