you can keep them together if you like, but you would want them to be roughly the same size to reduce the risk of complications. but you have better breeding responses from males when they are housed seperatly. if you dont mind them possibly not breeding then it would be fine as long as there needs are me, eg: two seperate hides, feed seperatly, ensure the enclosure is always clean etc.........
by the way this topic may get some different opinions, as some people may say you can and some will say you cant at, either way every one is right in there opinions.
