I don't think there is anything wrong with putting a hatchie in a big enclosure (as long as it's not HUGE) as long as you provide lots of hiding places. My bredli hatchie is in a large tank, and has had no problems, because there are lots of fake plants to hide in, and lots of fake caves to hide under.
