Iv'e start cooling mine in April, but very slowly and I make sure they are in good condition. But it depends on when their last eggs where laid, as a general rule I follow Alice Springs Temps, but wont cool them unless all the females are fat and have stopped egg laying and are fully recovered. I only drop the night temps and reduce the amount of hours of heat for day temps.
Winter; Night - 12 deg / Day 27 deg for four hours. Summer; Night 26 deg / Day 32 Deg.
I use this for my levis and they breed like rabbits but for good results you need to feed them daily during egg laying.
Amyae, I keep them in a four foot fish tank with a 40w red bulb on at night at one end, and turn it on at night and really cold days.
