hibernation

Just wondering should you allow your snakes to go into hibernation now that winter is here, or just keepup a normal routine, it is just a case of turning off the heat and leaving them for a couple of months since llive in melb it gets quite cool here at night at the moment, and can you truly hibernate them when in a house with ducted heating as it is not gonna get that cold, is there an advantage to doing this, we have a diamond, a jungle , a childrens, a brisbane and a coastal anyway would like some opinions on this
