If you are getting a carpet hatchie you will need a click clack style container, with a heat mat to go under it, a water bowl, a hide and also a perch of some sort going length ways. I would also get a thermostat and a thermometer to control and measure temps. Hatchies feel their safest in a small area and in doing this will be the least stressful for the snake. This is also why a hide or 2 is so important.
