While we mightn't know the exact locality of the original wild ancestors of our herps, we can still make some accurate estimates to keep them pure.

For example, I wouldn't breed my SWQ Stimson with a WA Stimson, SA Stimson or Georgetown even though they are the same species, as all are unique in their own way and I would hate to see their localised individuality lost in captive herps.
