I don't feed during this period, although some of my snakes would probably eat regardless. If you do offer and they don't eat you have wasted a good rat, and if you don't breed the rats yourself it can start getting costly. Another few days before feeding is not going to hurt the snake at all, and I find they will eat straight after shedding, so no need to wait another 3 days.
