My diamond hybrid did just the same. she was great when little but then started to get snappy and stayed that way for years until I stopped feeding her in her cage (and moved her to a different cage).
Do you feed her in her tank?
I also have a mad crazy Bredli here but it has always been that way. It may be just the snake.
