Removing eggs from female...

G'day

It looks like my female stimmi is about to burst with eggs anyday now.

I put alot of layers of newspaper in the enclosure, and a bit of sphagnum moss n the corner that she doesn't mind lying on. I try to change the moss out a bit ever couple days and replace it.

Was wondering if anyone could help me with a few questions. Some may sound a little silly, but i know that I could screw up in so many different ways, so bare with me.

How do i remove the eggs from the female?

Assuming that I find her laying (which I probably wont) - do I just remove the eggs one by one as she lays them and place them into my incubator? I have heard that they go into a sort of trance and wont attack you?

If i find her wrapped around a clutch of eggs? what is everyones game plan when they find a famle wrapped around some eggs? I couldn't imagine her giving them up without a fight?!

What does everyone incubate their stimmi eggs at? these are from Port headland. My incubator is running at 29/30C but I'm going to replace the heat cord with a larger one, as the current one can't push the temp to 31C It just stays at 29C sometimes reaching 30C. So that problem will be fixed this afternoon.

Cheers for any help...

Pretty excited.

Alex
