| RE: Extreme Pets
Speaking of this issue, I would like your advice about advice I gave out to a customer in my store. She a passing traveller who says she lives just this side of the NSW/QLD border, technically lives in NSW. She has just received a NSW Reptile License.
Now she was looking for a shop that sells geckos. As we aren't allowed to sell reptiles in NSW she figured she could just duck across the border to get her gecko and take it back home. But I told her to be careful that she doesn't attract attention from NSW NPWS for bringing reptiles across the border, & that the shops in QLD may not even sell them to her without an Importers Permit. I told her she may have to apply for an Importers License, regardless of the fact that she can walk from one state to the next.
I wasn't really 100% sure, and I told her I wasn't, but would this be the case, living on the borders? Still can't walk across the "road" between two states and walk back with a reptile sold on the other side?
