I've read you should water down the betadine to a tea colour before applying it. A small cut shouldn't be a problem for your snake, you got lucky this time. I'm with everyone else here, STOP FEEDING LIVE FOOD!!!! There are many ways to get a snake to eat defrosted or freshly killed prey, do some research and try some of them out. I don't care if you take this as a personal attack (although thats NOT my intention, I'm just worried about your snake) putting live rodents in with your snake is cruel to both the rodent and the snake, especially if you weren't even watching to see what happened. Good luck, I hope you get it onto dead prey soon.
