G'Day Shane

GTF are easy to keep. the ones i have now are about the size of a 5 cent piece and are rowing fast, they will get to the size of a fist in about 2 years.

Its easyiest to keep them in a tank with a small ammount of water in the bottom (10-15cm), logs/brances can the nbe supplied fo them to climb on and hide behind, putting fake or real plants inside is a good idea as the greener the enclosure is the greener the frogs will turn. About 5 adult frogs can be kept in a standard 3 foot tank, however if selectin a tank specifically for frogs a tank with more height that length is better as it allows for more climbing room. As the frogs can climb the glass an appropiate cover must be provided, one made from fly wire is best as it allows for sufficent air circulation, glass covers block air circulation and valuable UV light.

The tank must be heated. This can be done by adding a heat lamp, a water heater or both. during the warmer months i have generally found that only a heater is required but during winter often a lamp should be added also. The frogs also need UV radiation therefore a UVA/UVB lamp shoul be provided.

The frogs should be fed 3-4 times a week and they will eat almost any moving insect including woodies, crickets, flies, moths, spiders and the accasional fuzzy mouse when they get bigger.

Thats everything i can think of at the moment, any more questions just ask.

Cheers Mike
