building a wooden enclosure

hi there,
im about to start on a new enclosure for my baby jungle, and once finished i will then start on another for my spotted python. Just wanted to know if there is any particular wood I should use? and major design implements I should know about etc??
The jungle itself (recently named Ivy) is only 2 weeks old and lucky to be 20cm in length. I was thinking maybe just a 2ft x 1ft x 1ft size until she is ready for something bigger. Or should I make it bigger or smaller to start with?
Also, being arboreal and liking to climb, Is there anything really cool to use inside for her to climb on? I heard if you use branches of a tree you should boil them first?
Any help I can get before I start would be appreciated.
Photo of her is hard to obtain at the moment as she is very snappy and I don't like pulling her out at the moment as she is about to shed.
However if anyone is interested a photo of my spotted is about to be posted on my introduction thread.

Thanks
Mitch
