Bundy there are plenty of threads on here about DPS. Do a search. I dont think anyone really knows what it is or what causes it. There are lots of theories but none have been tested let alone proven. The possible causes that have been thrown up include UV requirements not being met, inadequate exercise, not winter cooling and keeping in too hot an environment. I guess if you ensure you address all of these issues you should be OK.

I have also noticed that DPS has virtually disappeared recently and been replaced with OPMV. By that I mean that if a diamond python dies now it always seems to be determined to be OPMV.

I would like to hear if anyone else has heard of a case of DPS in the last 12 months? I haven't but I have seen a number of collections that have had Diamond Pythons die of OPMV with no other species affected. Strange.
