Bleach is very strong in its pure state, so not much is needed in a diluted solution for sterilization. however i'm not sure myself how sensitive herps are to it, although the main component of bleach is chlorine, which will evaporate readily and remove left over residue very quickly if left for a while in fairly warm conditions say out in the sun allowing it to air out. with that in mind you could use a fairly stong solution every once in a while to give the enclosure a real scrubbing, but it may break down some of the materials such as paint or plastics.
i'm going to shut up and leave this to someone who really knows what they are talking about lol
cheers
Andrew
