I just put my thumb at the base of their head and pull their tails and press in at the same time, it breaks their neck and they die very quick. You can wack them on their heads but their is a thin line between not killing them and making a mess.

Some ppl will say CO2 but IMO it isnt a good way for pinkies and its alot of mucking around.
Some ppl even freeze them, this is considered to be very cruel.
