If it has been well fed it should be able to eat fuzzy rats or weaner rats. They can easily eat pink rats when they are 2 months old. My yearlings are about 2 foot and eat weaner rats. One way to work out a fair meal size is by weighing the snake and feeding it a meal that is about 20% of its weight.

It doesnt really make much differance using rats or mice, i would use whatever is cheaper for the same amount of food.
