Yeah changed my name. Was looking in the mirror the other day and noticed a striking similarity, not due to the hair, just the shape of the head and the tired look.


For the MD, i would use basking lamp on a timer and a heat emitter on a thermostat for the night.

For the atherton and the macs, i would use basking lamps and heat mats. the heat mats you could run on thermostats, however if you get lower wattage ones you can just run them on timers.

Having said all that, i still run a thermostat for all my heating in one form or another. All of my basking lamps are connected to an external thermostat that measures the room ambient temperature. So i have 8 enclosures throough one thermostat. So if the room ever gets too hot, in this case 30 - 32, it turns all basking lamps off. basically just a fail safe. Not absolutely needed if you are sure your room wont get to hot, but just a fail safe.
