ok well my brother rang me last night telling me he had a new snake, he was told was a Amethystine python and that i should come round and check it out.......... The thing is he doesn't have a reptile licence, never has and he was given an adult carpet snake about a year ago because the shelia could no longer look after it... or so he says. So i asked him how he did all this without a licence and he said that he swaped his carpet snake with the Amethystine python from a 14 year old kid who said he found the 6foot python on the beach at Rainbow beach (qld) .......mmmmmm now correct me if im wrong but i thought Amethystine pythons were only found far north qld in tropical forests. he also took the snake to the vet in Brighton to be wormed and checked over and she told him what the snake was and that it was a fully grown adult....... also correct me if im wrong but i thought the Amethystine pythons grew really big........ Sorry for the big storey but i am really angry with my brother as he has a WILD snake and no licence and i just think thats wrong.

Sorry Mrs Mac but i wouldn't waste your time getting angry. Best thing to do is worry about looking after the animal and making sure your brother doesn't get in the shat. I wouldn't post stuff like that on here as Parks do watch these threads. I'd be more worried about the animal and my brother than getting angry cos' he's done something that goes against your opinion/beliefs. I for one don't have an issue with the odd animal going home with somone- seen to many killed by neighbours and cats to care.
