i've made heaps and use them for skinks, geckos and small goannas. I use tiles (30cm ones-get the cheapest floor tiles on special at bunnings). I then cut lengths of tomato stakes or similar about 2-3cms (use different thicknesses for different spacing). Then glue one of these lengths of wood to each corner of the tile. I use tradesmans choice pvc wood glue (exterior). Once dry turn over and place one on top of the other to the desired height. I only use a thin layer of substrate so the weight makes them very stable. Easy to take out and clean or pull apart to get to the inhabitant.
