My advice would be to worm your snake when its young while its growing..... I'm not sure whther you can do it yourself but a vet will do it for under $50 (in my experience)..... and don't let anyone tell you that they don't need to be done cos unfortunately we had a death with a 6mth old Tree Snake because of worms......

I don't know how they get them can anyone answer that? I'd assume its to do with coming into contact with another snake that has them.....
