I might just point out this isnt some smear campaign agaisnt brown snakes, i like them as much as any snake(provided i dont accidentally step on one). Its basic logic/instinct that if you are in a confrontation you cant avoid, that killing or incapacitating your enemy is generally the best defence.

This seems to be coming down more to a differance of opinion on word usage than anything.

Aggresive behaviour even in defense is still aggresion, i was never suggesting they will attack ppl without reason. All the Eastern browns i have ever encountered on foot have sat still, left or in one case eaten a water dragon but that is because i saw them first or they could escape easily(as the can in most cases).
