Ideally you would like a larger gradient - with 27-28 max temperatures. Obviously cooling is more difficult than heating so don't make it harder on yourself with another globe

What is your night time low temperature in the cool end? If your warm end remains about 27-28 and you let your cool end drop at night it might be alright...
