A bit off topic, but I read that the main problem with mealies isn't the fat content (would be a problem if its the staple diet), its the fact that they are high in chitin (sp.), the stuff they're shells are made of. This can cause internal blockages in smaller lizards, but a few won't be a problem for your big beardie.
