Keeping Carpet Pythons from Australian Reptile Publications is a basic introduction to husbandry. You can buy it direct from the publisher - it works out a bit cheaper than buying it from a shop, and postage is free.

I also like Care of Australian Reptiles in Captivity by John Weigel.
