i will get one of those double wired ones, so i can have a permanent reading of each end of my tank..
i already have those analog ones, sticking on the glass but i don't think they are really accurate as they take the glass temp instead of the air temp in the tank (me thinks)...
If they are accurate, when i check them (a couple of times a day when at work, more often at night at night and during weekends...) i've got 25oC on the cool end and 34oC on the warm end...
but as you pin-pointed, they're only samples and not a proper continuous reading with alarms...
I have also a thermostat set on 29oC with the probe located in the middle of the tank...

Thanks again for your help guys.... As you noticed I am a newbie (and proud of it) but i still have a lot to learn from experienced keepers.... Thank you.
