Just make sure you use a thermometer to regularly check the temps of the cool end too - depending on the strength of the bulb and the size of the tank, you could make the whole tank too hot. They should be able to get to a cooler spot closer to 28-30 (IMO) in the cool end - easy in my 4ft fish tank, a little harder in a smaller tank, especially if well insulated without good ventilation. Keep an eye on it - they can overheat. A shallow water dish in the cooler end is good insurance that they can dunk and get cool if they need to.
