Hi all,
I'm a beginner and currently looking forward to purchasing my first reptile (just waiting for my license to arrive, I applied last week so I'm expecting to recieve it by the end of this week). I've been doing my research for quite some time now and have been told that for beginner's the most suitable reptiles would be:

Snakes: Childerns/Spotted python
Lizard: Bearded Dragon/Blue tongue Lizard

I am currently in the process of purchasing the necessary enclosures+accessories and should be ready to purchase the reptile end of next week. I would prefer to start off with a bearded dragon however will consider purchasing the python if I cannot find the right dragon. Any information would be of great help to me. I live in Sydney, NSW (st. george area) and would prefer to buy locally, however a 1 drive would not bother me too much.
