oh, and if you find your mouse wire version isnt' strong enough, you can also make inside re-enforcements using a similar design of the mounting bracket. (obviouslly to suit the inside dimensions.)
though It's better to go right for the rat wire and sew shade cloth around the inside or outside of the cage
this is fiddly, but it works perfectly
also remember, the measurement for the initial size of mesh is dependant on your fitting, always measure the bulb in the fitting to make adjustments to the measurement of the initial piece of mesh
my fitting with bulb = 14cm (140mm) so if yours is equal or smaller, then you don't have to change anything.
