Yes, you see alot of photos of people displaying poor hygiene, like introducing new animals to each other for no reason at all, except for a photo seems common.
Basic things like washing your hands and husbandry tools between animals etc with products like F10 is easy enough to do.
Also keeping animals seperate for the most part is important, if you want to prevent the spread of anything nasty that might pop-up.
