ive always loved reptiles but never got any til i was 18,
as i kid i was always playing with the backyard bluetongues and other skinks, not realyl sure what first attracted me to them, but the thing the got into actually keeping reptiles was the low maintinence.
id kept tropical freshwater and marine fish tanks for about 3 years and had thriving tanks, however when i started full time work my tanks went downhill due to not having enough time to correctly maintain them. so i sold because i felt it was unfair to the fish. But reptiles can be kept with far less effort, and they still thrive. also you can actually pick up a snake, which you cant do with a fish (espcially not a lionfish).
