Hey mate,

The ones on display at Australia Zoo are from the St George area. They are probably one of the least contrasting Woma's in Australia, and adults are normally a uniform dark brown with very faint, mottled banding.

In captivity, they are notoriously difficult to keep. Some well known keepers have had a crack at keeping them and they have failed miserably. The biggest problem seems to be their unwillingness to eat in captivity, which is almost definitely stress related. When they do eat, they almost need to be assist fed, in that they will just open their mouths and not do much else. Even the captive bred young are the same. I have heard of a small adult male eating quails or day old chicks without hesitation.

I would absolutely love some as it would be a great way to demonstrate the animals we are losing due to the destruction of the Brigalow Belt.
