For most carpets & water pythons they generally use 50/50.

I've heard Black-headed pythons, olives, womas and Children’s pythons eggs are more sensitive to moisture, so a drier 60/40 vermiculite mix is recommended. Or another thing I've heard is using a 50/50 perlite mix, as perlite holds a lot less moisture than vermiculite.
