i live on the coast south of melbourne,i keep mine indoors, and if my pr produce young again this season it will be the 5th straight year they have produced babies for me,i keep mine in a 7 foot long open topped enclosure with a 150 watt spoty up the warm end,and turn it off over winter for 6 to 8 weeks to hibernate them, there kept in a tin shed in my back yard so cold in winter but hot in summer, also they are quite cold hardy, its the cold damp that gets them or to long in high humidity, good luck with them,if kept right, there quite easy to maintain and a great lizard to keep
