with the lower track...pre drill in the centre rib with a 1ml. drill, trust me it makes the whole job easier and a better finish, l would use 15mm nails.....as for measuring your glass..put a steal rule or measuring device up into your top track [where the glass goes and measure to the top of your rib on your lower track [check this both ends to make sure you are paralell,then subtract 2mm from this measurement and that,s your glass height [remember to overlap your glass 40mmeach side of centre to give yourself an 80mm overlap of glass to prevent escapes....goodluck
