what heat light you using?.............what is the cold end temp? & see if you can tell what temp it gets to in middle of the night....at cool end & hot.......should be 10 degree difference from day to night... either set alarm to a ridiculous hour or buy a digital thermometre........no more than $20...probe will tell you last 24hrs temp coldest & hottest point.
Ps; no no on the spinach.............too young to digest it
try endive or parsley ,dont give carrot everyday.........probably wont eat veg till 3-6wks old
