for a pair of centrals i have 4ft x 2tf x 2ft but i would reccomend 6ftlong x 3ft high x 2ft deep as it gives them alot more romm and they are alot more enjoyable to watch . in thats size you could have a trio. for pygmeys i think that size is good for about 6 but not to sure. best substrate for adults would prob be sand. with juvies start with newspaper or butchers paper. thats about all i know. if i am wrong with anything, dont hesitate to correct me.
