John Rogerson is a TOP bloke and a very good breeder of imbricata - I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for this subspecies.

As far as variation within these snakes, they come from a very wide variety of habitats, basically covering the whole SW corner from north of Geraldton to the east of Esperance and well beyond, so the variation reflects that range. They are roughly divided (around the Perth region) into coastal and hills morphs - coastal SW carpets can be very similar to eastern Australian coastals in colour and pattern, but the "hills morph" is a far more neutral colour, muted greys and browns, not dissimilar to MDs in some regards. Within those 2 forms there is further wide variation.

I believe JR has and breeds both forms.

Jamie.
