As Inkslinger said monitors will often utilise a water bowl whilst shedding...two days is nothing to be to concerned with.
I'm assuming you have them housed within the same enclosure Dodgie?
If this is the case; keep an eye out the other is not being over dominate (bully) towards it's cage mate...in regards to food etc.....
If temps are fine; feeding behaviour is normal; and suitable hides are provided; i don't think there's to much to worry about at this stage....
I have them in separate enclosures,this animal is alot smaller and i would not consider putting them in together until i know all is ok and it can defend itself it if had to.

It will not eat at all.

Why do thay take so long to settle in.
