    ANOTHER feeding question

So, there is NO WAY mum will have rats in her freezer and there is no way I'm allowed to buy a freezer for myself. I need to feed my python large rats now but they 28 bucks each! I'm giving him quail more than rats cos of the price of the rat,BUT, would it be ok to buy 3 small rats for 20 buks and just give him all 3 instead of just one large rat? The 3 small rats combined would be just as big as the large rat, but would it be a good idea? Oh and iv searched around for rat breeders and I can't find any nearby

So what does your mum expect your snake to eat? Or are u just not allowed to buy in bulk and store in the freezer?

Wow. That is disgustingly expensive. Even 3 small ones for $20 is steep. You could buy live ones and kill them yourself for less. Is that a possibility?
But I can't see a problem with feeding 3 small ones, personally I think it might even be better because they'll have less fat on them than a large one.

Nah she's fine with him eating rats but yea I can't buy in bulk and store in her freezer. she absolutely HATES rats with a passion and im lucky that she accepts me feeding them to him but I can't buy bulks cos I have nowhere to put the leftovers.

Well I asked mum if I can breed them myself and she said NO WAY. I have a big greenhouse quite a distance from the house and I asked if I could just breed them in there and she said no. |. I guess I could hide them down in the bush but I would have to do a bit of work, and I would be a bit nervous about the killing part, if all else fails and I just HAVE to secretly breed them or buy live ones,to kill them do I just drown them? Cos I don't think I can break there necks or slap their heads hard on a rock....

I just spoke to mum again, and after a bit of arguing she came up with her answer, " if I find ANY live rats on this property that you have bought, your snake goes!" well, I guess I will just have to fork over $28 every month and give him quail in between
