I have cut glass to modify a lot of my tanks (make talls out of longs etc) and have fixed up a few cracked ones but i haven't made a whole tank from scratch yet. Ill give it a go one day

Do you make a lot of tanks?

Perspex is awesome for snakes.."no claws"..but yer it scratches easy with lizards etc.but easier to keep an enclosure warm.

Haha yeah bit of experience built up there then. In the future i'm looking at building a few taller tanks. Don't want to buy one off the shelf because they use thicker glass (due to water pressure increase with height) which means a lot more dollars. I don't need that much water anyway . Could get them custom made but where is the fun in that!

ive lost count on how many fish tanks ive made / put back together / repaired and they all had to hold water lol so reptile tanks are gonna be a peice of p%$# to do

1 front panel faced down on a peice of carpet

2 using aquarium safe silicone stand up the base and one side then run a bead of silicone along each of their edges using masking tape put 2 or 3 peices securing the two peices in place

3 the day after add the next side again with the bead of silicone

4 add the back with silicon and wait 3 days for silicone to dry if you want it to hold water you will need an extry layer of silicone to the inside edges of the tank this can be done the day after then wait 3 days

5 put your reps in and a lid on it too easy
