    Tubs :)

I really am NOT a fan of keeping snakes in tubs long term but have just upgraded my system to a nightmare of tubs sitting on top of each other (last year) into this ( the pic) I think it has turned out quite nice...

That is a LOT of tubs.

What are you hoping to fill them with?

Very neat setup mate. When will you start populating it?

No wonder it's a nightmare, you have to remove the lids everytime you want to get to your animal. Have you considered the slide in type? Added bonus is you'll use alot less power to maintain temps than the setup you have there.

I agree, once you lose the lids on those tubs you could never go back to anything with a lid ever again. I comfortably clean 200 tubs within a two or three hour period on a Saturday. We have also never lost a hatchling due to not having a lid on the tub. Those look like the exo-terra brand tubs.

LOl , this setup is not a nightmare!....... I didn't have shelves before!

I suck at building things.. I have tried making the "slide in type before" and failed!... Besides I can always use these tubs minus the lids for that type of setup in the next few years..If I can get some one to build me some ,. haha

How dose that type of setup save power over tubs with sleving?
This room will be air-coned soon as I plan to squish over 200 tubs in there so the heatcord is just for the hotspots and on a thermo

Next year maybe I will get some one to build me a bigger room and just loose the lids , but this will work for now

Hopefully you'll find someone who shares the same passion one day. I think spending money on herps is great! Who needs 20 pairs of shoes anyway??? lol.
In this day and age, why do people still believe everything they see on the TV and read in the newspaper? You can learn some very interesting things when you learn to think for yourself!

    Ha ha agree 100%

I do like the look of the exoterra tubs... but I think you could definitely do with having them turned into the sliding type... I would gladly help you build them if I were in brissy still. It can be rather simple and if you have no other 'outgoing expenses' rofl then spending a little extra on an upgrade which will make your life so much easier (along with increase the enjoyment of your animals!) seems like the way to go.

Im dying to make one too Wish I had the money to!

ROFL... oh... ok maybe you do need someone to make one for you

BTW... you could EASILY turn those shelves you have there into a sliding type set up using the current containers you have
