I thought some might be interested in having a quick look at this picture, it's a Children's python egg being candled. The picture quality isn't high, but it's enough to give you an idea of what's going on. This clutch had four obvious slugs and one egg which looked perfect but candling revealed to be infertile. |

| It would have been a good idea, but I removed it from the clutch a few hours after oviposition. The photo above was taken about two weeks later. Quote: |

| Wheals and boils come forth as testament to your fine sense of haut couture.

Surreal: characterized by fantastic imagery and incongruous juxtapositions; "a great concourse of phantasmagoric shadows"--J.C.Powys; "the incongruous imagery in surreal art and literature" [syn: phantasmagoric, phantasmagorical, surrealistic] 2: resembling a dream; "night invested the lake with a dreamlike quality"; "as irrational and surreal as a dream" [syn: dreamlike](shewhommustbeobeyed)

Do you just stick a light on the egg to see into it?

| Thank you and you're welcome The egg (you can also see a couple of others in the picture) is on vermiculite. I've tried a couple of other methods, but this season I am getting back into vermiculite. It's a little difficult choosing with so many good options around these days. Quote: |

| I'd have suggested that the sperm plug wasn't anything special, but neither is mine, especially with its poor quality. All the same, thanks for your kind feedback Quote: |

| Pretty much. Very easy to do, not necessary at all (someone will probably argue with me, in which case, please accept my deepest regrets regarding my lack of response) but it's fun and helps to amuse people like me with insatiable curiosity
