I'm with alec_c! Most likely an escaped pet and I would have caught it and rang your local ranger!!!!!! Chances are it will breed with the local carpet pythons and compremise the natural breed/type in your area!

Nice looking carpet, you're lucky to have the opportunity in seeing them getting about

Sadly the only wild one I've seen since I've been up here in Brissy is a 3ft one I had to put down after the car in front of me ran over the back of it the other night Beautiful carpet it was and everything (I'm up here holidaying for the week). Nobodies fault really, it was a dark part on a busy road.

I'll eat both of my feet if that is a bredli. Lovely looking visitor, interesting colours!

Quite similar colouring to a coastal I found at my place in the Tweed area. I was a little taken aback by the colouring at first, but apparanetly its normal around here.

That's really funny! when i first saw it on the verandah i thought one of my bredli's had escaped, on closer inspection though i would say it's definately a coastal, it's really only the colouring that deceives the eye, mixed with the fact it has marking's that could quite possibly be passed of a Bredli. But if you saw it in the flesh you would quite quickly come to the conclusion that it's just a pretty coastal IMO.Thanks for looking!!

Since ive move up to the Northern Rivers area ive seen three Pythons three Browns and a RBB.I'm loving it!
